Descriptions
Description gets chicks or hot guys or perhaps just the kind of positive attention you'd want in an RP. Description is not necessarily consisting of length alone, and sometimes length is not what is needed. But accurate and interesting description is always a must. Here at Realms-RP, we always encourage players to venture outside their comfort zone, and to try new and exciting methods of posting.
Don't forget you're here
Always post when it's your turn, never forget the RP. All the other players might be waiting to see what your character is about to do! So don't forget to pay attention!Speaking of turns, always remember that Realms-RP is a turn-based RP. Never double post! In other words, if you post once, wait for the person your character is talking/fighting/looking at to respond before you post once more. It is a pet peeve for most RPers to find someone posting and then 10 seconds later posting again.
::Swings sword at ur head u die::
Yes, this is the worst. Be sure to understand that a turn-based RP like Realms does not condone auto-hitting. Fighting outcomes are left up to the users engaged, but self appointed rules should be established prior to engagement by all parties.
God-Mode?
Yup, god-moding is simply the disrespect of the RP. In short, a god-moder does not understand the flow of the RP, or simply playing for his/her own personal gratification. God-moding comes in many flavors and to be descriptive in short, God-moders will do one of the following during an RP battle:- Make outrageous claims regarding their characters abilities. Like, instantaneous teleportation, auto-kills, and spell casting without rhyme or reason for the lack of casting time.
- Dodge without ability statements or refusal to accept a hit without reasoning. This does not mean that all attacks must be accepted, but dodges should always have reasoning behind them. Do not simply erect a shield in the time that it takes for a bullet to travel the distance across a bar!
There are other types of God-moding, of course, but these cover the most common. You will quickly learn to recognize a God-moder; they usually claim to be the greatest RPer ever and always have a "valid reason" as to why they are completely correct and you are completely wrong.
Remember to have fun!
Of course, above all else, remember to enjoy your time in Realms-RP. It is free and here for all, so make use of it. We only ask for anyone who is new to never be afraid to ask a question of anyone. Remember that the way to ask a question in whispers is simple./to (Username) (Message) <---simply remove the () marks!
And that way nobody else will see what your saying like simply passing a note.
